When the Union LA x Air Jordan 4 SP “Off Noir” first leaked earlier this summer, many of you were quick to dismiss it. From its unique colour blocking to the flipped tongue, sneakerheads everywhere thought it was nothing compared to Chris Gibb’s Air Jordan 1 collaboration from 2018. Funnily enough, fast forward a few months and the same people are now calling it the hottest collaboration of the year. Are we surprised? most definitely not.
After getting a US-exclusive release back in August, the ULA AJ4 is finally dropping worldwide on September 30th. A revolutionary take on the legendary Nike basketball silhouette, it’s safe to assume that these will sell out within seconds, so we’ve compiled a few tips and tricks on how you can maximise your chances of getting a W!

Featuring a predominantly black colour palette, the “Off Noir” is contrasted with “Brigade Blue” colors around the ankle, while a dash of “Light fusion Red” lands along the top eyelets and rubber heel badge. Down below, the Air midsole has been dipped in a vintage yellow tone for a retro aesthetic that is sure to turn heads wherever you go.
Of course, you can’t talk about the Los Angeles-boutique’s Air Jordan 4 without mentioning the flipped tongue that’s been physically stitched down. If you’re brave enough to unravel it though, you’ll be presented with the OG tongue that we all know and love, complete with the Jumpman identify that’s as iconic as it gets.

Nike SNKRS
If you didn’t already know, the “Off Noir” will be launching at 8am on September 30th through Nike SNKRS, so don’t forget to set your alarms and mark your calendars. While they are expected to drop via a 15 minute draw, this could be subject to change so make sure you hold tight. If you want to increase your chances of getting a W, you can also borrow a friend or family member’s phone to try your luck. It goes without saying but make sure you social distance.
If there’s one thing that we just can’t stress enough, it’s how important it is to have all your payment and address info saved and verified. better yet, let your bank know that it’s actually you who’s making the transaction just so they don’t put it on hold. While it’s going to be particularly hard to get them on the phone especially at a crazy time like this, banks have been known to block transactions that they deem suspicious.

Instagram Raffles
If at this stage you still haven’t copped, don’t worry, as we’ve got another pretty good tip for you. load up that IG app right now and follow every single retailer that sold the “Off Noir” as they’re known to re-raffle unclaimed pairs. This happens with the majority of hyped drops, so there’s a huge chance that you’ll be able to cop here.
If that doesn’t work out, then you’ve got two more options. You can either go on StockX and get a pair sent straight to your door, or head on over to The Sole Supplier’s dedicated buy & sell group on Facebook where you can buy, sell, and even exchange trainers for the pair you want. You probably won’t get them for retail here but we’ve got some pretty good and honest members so don’t be surprised if you do.
And that’s that! If you follow every single one of these steps, you’ve got a pretty good chance of copping Union LA x Air Jordan 4 SP “Off Noir” come September 30th! let us know if you manage to get hold of a pair, and be sure to keep it locked at The Sole vendor for the current and greatest sneaker news and releases!
